Candied Oranges are Pretty

and here they are on a cake!

It was so easy! Water + sugar + tangerines + heat + time = DELICIOUS. I used tangerines and navels, but I liked the tangerines better because they don't have as much pith.

I decorated the cake for John Sr.'s birthday (John's mom baked the cake and whipped up the icing). At the party was also a bunch of cheese and crackers, which as I found out, go GREAT with the candied oranges. Salty and sweet will never be wrong. Try it at your next party!
