I Heart Heart

I'll admit it. I got a little carried away with these mini cupcakes for a Valentine-themed staff meeting. But it was so much fun! And the staff meeting was a perfect excuse to bake--I could give it all away and avoid eating them all, alone, in the dark :)
But anyway, the cupcakes are Red Velvet with Cream Cheese frosting and various pretty, but relatively poor-tasting toppers. Many people at the meeting noted their resemblance to boobs, which I'm totally fine with (boobs are a pretty big part of Valentine's Day, right? :)

I made these brownie-sandwich-heart-things, too. I just lined two cookie sheets with parchment paper, whipped up two store bought boxes of brownies and spread the batter out between the two sheets (I sprinkled cute little hearts on one). Then I cut them out with a cookie cutter, slapped some strawberry icing on the un-sprinkled brownie and topped it with the other! Super easy and super yummy.
Here they are, all set up at the office. Everyone loved them and commented how I should open up a bakery--maybe some day, some day. :)
I also decorated a little with heart doilies, paper triangles and fishing line. I think everything turned out pretty nicely, if I do say so myself. Happy Valentine's Day!

You totally should open up a bakery. It would be the coolest bakery of all time. No joke. I would live there. I mean eat there. Everyday. Mostly because then I'd get to see you. It being the best bakery ever would just be a super bonus.

Um...how come I wasn't invited to your super awesome bake-fest/Valentine's office party?!
